In the immortal words of Brittany: You gotta work!
If you follow this blog you know that for the last few months I’ve been really trying to lose weight. And I’ve been pretty insistent that it has nothing to do with my wedding (it started even before I got engaged!!) Well then why am I posting about it in my Wedding section? Because of maintenance.
I recently fell off the fitness wagon for about 3 weeks. Up until that point I had made it about halfway to my ultimate fitness goals. But then… 3 weeks of no running. And – if you are like me – if I’m not working out regularly, I’m not eating as well as I should be for weight loss. Talk about a vicious cycle. So in those 3 weeks, I undid about 25%-30% of the work I had accomplished.
This has ultimately made me realized that even if I accomplish my fitness goals before the wedding (which I hope I do), if I don’t regularly work out, I won’t maintain what I accomplished – which would stink in general and for the wedding.
