The BRIDAL SHOWER!! (A Recap)
(Me with my Mom & Girlfriends, opening presents)
Ok so first off, sorry for the girly overload here! But this past weekend was a big one for me – I had my bridal shower! My future sister-in-law Rebecca was sweet enough to host the day for us at the stunning NYC apartment of Joe’s family friends, John and Susan. Almost all my closest girlfriends were able to join, and my MIL to be put out so much yummy food and cupcakes! So let’s talk make-up, presents and champagne cocktails!

The day started of with my wedding makeup trial. Ladies, this is SO important. I love my makeup artist – she is super talented and made me look great but, it is so key for the trial. We were able to discuss things like – for the big day I don’t want my eyes to be as dramatic, and I’d prefer to go lighter on the eyebrow filler. Small things, yes, but not something you want to figure out on the big day! Overall though, I loved my look! (And my dress – I picked it up a sample sale just a few days before!)
So the festivities started around 1pm, and we all enjoyed some Blood Orange champagne cocktails! (YUM!) There were spring rolls passed around and lots of laughs! It was so fun getting together – all these ladies hadn’t seen each other since my bachelorette party and there was lots of catching up to do! Then we ate yummy salads, salmon skewers and other lady like small bites!
Afterwards it was time to open presents! (Is it me or is opening presents in front of people so uncomfortable?!?!) I registered for lots of fun kitchen items – pizza stones! macaron silipats! Cupcake scoops! – and other important things like nice towels and hypoallergenic sheets (for Joe!).
At the end it was time for more champagne cocktail (because obviously), cupcakes and fruit. (I ate more cupcakes than fruit though. Woops.) More chatting with the ladies, silliness and selfies!
Thanks for joining me
