I can’t believe it’s about to be Thanksgiving! I feel like this year I have so much to be grateful for! A great job, exciting things happening with the blog…. getting engaged! It’s been a big year! Ps: I’m also grateful that Brussels Sprouts are back in season because I absolutely love them. (Seriously. Its a an all year obsession. ) This recipe is a big hit in our home. First off, they are an easy healthy side dish to make that goes with just about anything (including your Thanksgiving dinner table!), but also we both love Sriracha. This side dish is soft and crispy, sweet and spicy.
The secret to this dish? Lightly steaming the Brussels Sprouts before you roast them! It helps get the inside nice and soft, and the outside crispy. Does this two step process take a little longer. Yes. Can you skip it? Sure. But honestly, I never do any more because they are just so much more delicious like this!!!
Also, if you’ve never had apples mixed with Brussels Sprouts, they are secret best friends. The sweet apples cuts the tartness of the Brussels Sprouts but adds a little more crunch. Speaking of sweet – want to skip the honey? Use agave nectar instead!
Tomorrow I have one of the most amazing pie recipes ever. I mean it’s pretty wow, so you don’t want to miss this! Plus, I’ll be sending out a special Thanksgiving Recipe Redux to our members – so sign up for that now!
