Oh my god. I’m on video!
So hi all! This is me! Talking to you! (Please be kind!) Remember when I mentioned I was doing a video series with Brides Magazine to talk about some of my favorite bridal products? Well it’s finally here! Over the next few weeks I’m going to share them with you, so you can see what I’m loving for my wedding and bridal style in general. First up? Lenox! So when in the 90’s I went through a phase where I thought Lenox was old fashioned – but that said, I was also wearing Steve Madden loafers and silver Dollhouse pants – so it’s not like my style sense was exactly honed. But then I realized my Mom’s china – which is Lenox – is absolutely gorgeous. Just look at it!For years now (after much pleading on my part) my Mom promised me I could have it when I get married. Only problem? We kind of need a house (or big apartment) with a dining room to have a place to put it – and serve on all of it. So as much as I love it, I have to wait on it for a bit. (Boo!)
I’ve still been debating whether or not we should register, and if I should order a smaller about of pieces in the mean time as an upgrade from the dishes we have now. Right now I have plain white modern dishes – which I love serving really visual and colorful food on, and vintage floral melamine dishes (they were my Grandma’s!) that we use to shove our faces with takeout. But maybe it’s time for an upgrade?
For more special occasions I love the simple delicate pattern on the Lenox Opal Innocence, and am contemplating getting a few place settings for when we entertain at our place. Because it’s fairly neutral it would also transition well into any new decor we have in our next place. It also has those same little dots as my Mom’s pattern which I really like.
For every day I love the Lenox French Perle. As you may be able to tell, I love all white dishes – especially because it’s great when I want to switch things up in my food photographs. I think the perle detailing on this is so elegant, don’t you? Plus, I love how delicate and feminine it is (which I’m sure Joe will just love.)
I will definitely let you know if I decide to register – but in the mean time – did you? Do you have any tips? Do you still love the china you picked out??
This weekend I’m going to be cooking up a storm and I’m finally going wedding dress shopping! So follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest to see what I’m loving and hating, what I’m making and eating – and what you think!!!
