So I just wanted share a quick update with all of you! Last night we booked our wedding venue – and this is it! I’m completely in love with the space, so I wanted to share it with all of you! It’s a restaurant in Brooklyn near where we live called Glasserie.
It’s in an 1860’s warehouse right by the water, and the space where we will have our ceremony and reception is in their outdoor courtyard. It’s got beautiful cobblestone flooring, brick walls, industrial beams above and a view to the sky. I love how old and worn the space is, and can’t wait to fill it with white flowers and candles! Curious about my vision? Check out my Pinterest Board with all my inspiration! It’ still a work in progress, but it helps me visualize what I want. I’ve dubbed my theme “romantic industrial”. Ha!
One of the things that I loved about the space and the restaurant were those long, beautiful tables, and the fact that we can do the dinner family style. We are keeping the wedding small and intimate, with just family and a few close friends. I just wanted it to feel like a small dinner party (with some dancing afterwards!) that happens to be celebrating the fact that we are celebrating our life together!
Now that we have the space and date booked, next up is the photographer and flowers! We are hoping to book the photographer next week, and I will update you on what we have decided. I think it’s an option every bride to be should explore – so I can’t wait to share the details with you!
