So remember last weekend when I was going to Joe’s wrap party, and in my attempt to spiffy myself up I was doing all sorts of beauty treatments – including using my chamomile face scrub. It was all natural and I loved it, but then afterwards I put on a face mask that I had purchased a long time ago. It was effective – but was definitely filled with chemicals. I didn’t really love that. So, I set out to make a super moisturizing face mask to use after my scrub.
That’s me!In the summer I like clay face masks because my skin gets super oily, but in the winter when my skin is up against harsher elements I prefer to moisturize it. And this face mask is perfect for that. It only has 3 ingredients – aloe, avocado and oatmeal – and all three are super moisturizing. Aloe is incredible at healing damaged skin; avocado (and it’s oil) are incredibly moisturizing, and oatmeal when combined with liquid creates a gel which is also super moisturizing. End result? The perfect winter face mask. Oh – and it takes 5 minutes to make!
Helpful hint? Make sure when buying aloe that you are getting 100% Aloe Vera! You don’t need that other junk mixed in.
Ingredients for 1 mask:
1 tablespoon Aloe Vera
1 teaspoon Oatmeal
Mash avocado with a fork until soft, and then add aloe. Mix until smooth and creamy, and then add in oatmeal.
Apply to your face and leave until dry, then was off with warm water.
